  • Photomarathon

I was delighted at the end of last week to hear that I had won 3 out of 12 entries in the Wiltshire CAP photomarathon which I took part in in November 2012. It involved taking 12 photos during November to represent 12 words - the words were Green, treasure, iconic, diversity, sharing, change, place, activity, people, network, information, heritage.

I won the categories for iconic, heritage and treasure - thumbnails below.

It was a fun thing to do (despite all the rain we had) as I met lots of people while I was out and about taking photos and actually saw where I live from a different perspective.

wfcap exists to support, promote and represent Community Area Partnerships (CAPs)and act as an advocate for Community-Led-Planning in Wiltshire. To find out more about CAPs check out their website: www.wfcap.org “

  • Autumn feeling

I headed over to Wales to deliver some handmade glass fused jewellery and cards (see www.love-crafts.co.uk ) for a new venture by one of my good friends and her friend. It's a little tearoom/craft shop based in Pontrhydygroes called Cwtch (means a loving warm hug or cuddle in Welsh).

The atmosphere certainly gives the feeling of a loving hug that is going into create a warm welcoming place to stop by for a cup of tea, coffee with some yummy treats. Find out for yourself and treat yourself and loved ones too to some gifts including some of my photographic cards https://www.facebook.com/ystwythcwtch.

I also had the opportunity to take a few photos which you can see in the galleries including this one, Autumn is definitely on its way. x

  • Our Life's loves

On a recent trip to Wales, days before the floods, I spent some time taking photographs of plants in my father's garden, his pride and joy and passion in life. Dad trained at Kew and his whole life has revolved around his garden, he has passed his love of gardening to me. As a child we would always be in the garden digging, weeding, getting rid of slugs, climbing trees, caring for our pet ducks... lots of happy memories.

The garden for me is a guaranteed place I feel calm, can truely be patient and enjoy nurturing plants and seeing them grow and develop..

This is an image of a bleeding heart plant, I think it is a beautiful flower.
